|Awards and Recognition|
The Saint Francis Cancer Treatment Center has been nationally recognized for our work in breast cancer treatment. These awards and designations reflect our high level of expertise and commitment to advanced care.
National Cancer Institute (NCI) Community Cancer Centers Program (NCCCP)
Only 21 cancer centers in the nation have the NCCCP designation. Saint Francis was an original member when the program launched in 2007, and we continue our participation today.
NCCCP cancer centers are focused on providing patients with advanced care by:
Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, American College of Radiology
In 2010, we were awarded a three-year term of accreditation as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence. In order to receive the accreditation, we first had to achieve accreditation in digital mammography, ultrasound, and stereotactic breast biopsy. Evaluations assessed our qualifications regarding:
Accreditation with Commendation, Commission on Cancer (CoC)

Accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) of the American College of Surgeons (ACOS)
In 2012, we received a three-year full accreditation designation from NAPBC. The accreditation requires a rigorous evaluation process and is only given to centers that have voluntarily committed to providing the highest level of quality breast care. The evaluation process ensures patients have access to comprehensive care including a full range of state-of-the-art services, a multidisciplinary team approach to treatment coordination, clinical trials and new treatment options, and quality breast care close to home.
