A Time to Heal
A Time to Heal is a 12-week holistic rehabilitation program designed to help people regain their physical, emotional, intellectual, psychological and spiritual strength after undergoing cancer treatment. Men and women who have completed surgery and chemotherapy and/or radiation for a first diagnosis of cancer are eligible to participate. Please call 308-398-5450 for program dates and times.

Adult Grief Class
The adult grief class will be offered again in the fall of 2010 (exact dates are not set, but it will probably start in the middle of September) and most likely will be in Saint Francis Memorial Health Center in Conference Room A. This class meets once a week for six weeks and provides information in understanding the grief process and assists with coping methods. There is no cost to attend as the class is provided as a service to our community in conjunction with the Hospice program. For more information, contact Heather Galvan, HealthConnect at Home, at (308) 398-2612.

Taking Control of Your Diabetes
This self management diabetes education program will assist the participant in learning how to manage his or her diabetes effectively with meal planning, exercise and medication. The schedule for class varies. Call (308) 398-5565 for more information.

Tobacco Cessation Classes
The American Lung Association’s Freedom From Smoking® classes are available to anyone in the community interested in quitting tobacco products. Meeting with a small group ensures personal attention from the facilitator and provides support from others who are in the same situation. To sign up or learn more, call Ann Tvrdy or Connie Hameloth at the Cancer Treatment Center, 308-398-5450.
